Welcome LOVE the little bakery.
My name is Hannah, but you can call me H, and I’m your typical 25 year old… Except for the fact I would turn down a drink every night of the week in favor of my trusted KitchenAid and a world full of new and exciting sweet recipes to try! If it were up to me, I’d stay home all day with the oven on, giving out desserts by night!
I’m a definite foodie and love to eat, as well as having a serious bug for travel (One day I will travel the world, country at a time!) It may not come as a surprise to you, but I am also a lover of anything sweet, give me a churro dipped in cinnamon sugar and a chocolate dip any day! (Or every day!) And yes, unfortunately, I am that girl that takes pictures of her food before consuming it (Check out my Instagram) My excuse.. I’m a food blogger and that’s just what we do!
I started this blog in early 2013 to share my love of all things sweet! I am a self-taught (and my boyfriend may add “messy”) baker taking inspiration from my mother, who would spend her weekends with me in the kitchen as a youngster, baking cupcakes and making sure I didn’t cover the work tops in too much flour! (Flour bags are rather heavy to a 6 year old!) And since then, my passion has always been baking and in particular cake decorating and design.
My weekends (and occasionally the odd evenings) are usually spent baking delicious treats and the occasional cake for friends and family! To me, there is nothing better than the smell of chocolate circulating the house from the chocolate brownies that are baking nicely in the oven, or even the cheeky lick of the spoon after making the mix for a batch of cupcakes! (How can anyone resist that!)
LOVE the little bakery, was originally a place to help keep track of my baking and decorating attempts. I’d like to think that my blog focuses on fun and easy baking, being a place to explore my favorite recipes, desserts and decorating! You’ll find plenty of tutorials and step-by-step instructions so you can incorporate them into your baking, too! My bakes don’t require any special materials or equipment, just a sense of creativity and the mindset that sometimes things don’t always work out as planned, but you can always try again!
Now, with the travelling bug and a creative flare for cooking, I’m branching out! I’m excited to say the next chapter of the blog will also contain easy, but equally delicious dishes to be enjoyed either by yourself, or with family, just without the sugar! And with a passion for travel, I look forward to sharing with you reviews and posts on top travel destinations in both the UK and away!
